Prog. notes: The inspiration of this multi-media work Lost and Regain is from the Oscar best film 2014 - Gravity. I would like to deliver different semantic meanings from this work with the aids of various art forms – music, dance, lighting and visuals projection.

From the beginning of the storyline of the film Gravity, it depicts:-
"the shuttle is destroyed by a severe disaster strikes, leaving two astronauts completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth and any chance for rescue..."

One might have such a strong feeling of being isolated by the entire Galaxy while watching to the above- captioned scenario. Lost and Regain is to express as well as reinterpret this sentiment in which almost most of us have encountered in our world - being separated by peoples surrounding us in our daily life on Earth. This could be another disaster strike on Earth - alienation. This kind of wandering is expressed by the weightlessness of the space by dancers’ "free fall" movement.

Towards the middle section of work, the dancers are trying to regain the gravity by trials and errors. This represents how do we put the effort to pursue our dreams. By the end of the work, I expect the audiences can feel the triumph of the human spirit and truly appreciate the importance of gravity. “Lost” and “regain” become everyone’s experience in daily routine.
