Prog. notes: The first part of the three movements piece. It gives a feeling of Chinese Zen mood by comparison of wet computer processed saxophone sound and dry digital sound derived from codes. This piece was premiered at Cohen Family Studio in College-Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati, Ohio in March 2015.
XU Zhixin, is currently a master student majoring in composition at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. Born in Shanghai, China, he holds an undergraduate degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music in music designing and production. As a composer and music producer, he’s concentrate in composition of electronic music as well as commercial music. His music has been heard in China, the United States and Europe.
