Instruments: for EEG Interactive Electronic Music

Prog. notes: Human’s brain activity could be displayed objectively on EEG (electroencephalograph) devices, which made creating music via BCI (Brain-Computer Interface) devices a valuable research. Unlike many existing EEG music works, I neither use the EEG source data as the material of music directly, nor assume it as the conditions to match the rules for composition. In this work, I proposed an approach which adopt random, pentatonic scales as fundamental music phrases and then adapt it with modulation which directed by performer’s mental status.
